FAQ (Questions and answers)

In Torresat we are aware of the problems that can arise occasionally on your TV service, for that reason, we offer you a new service ON-LINE where you can see for yourself the solution for your common problems. Problem

Solution

  • SCRAMBLED CHANNELS (ENIGMA/SMART / TECHNISAT decoder)
  1. Remove viewing card
  2. Turn switch off from the back of your box / unplug from the mains
  3. Leave for 10 seconds
  4. Clean golden micro chip (rub the chip on the card with thumb and finger)
  5. Connect plug and switch on box
  6. Insert card with the golden chip facing DOWN and going in to the box 1st
  7. Switch your television on and turn to TELEDEPORTE and leave for 10-15 minutes.

  • SCRAMBLED CHANNELS (BIG SAT decoder)
  1. Remove viewing card
  2. Turn switch off from the back of your box / unplug from the mains
  3. Leave for 10 seconds
  4. Clean golden micro chip (rub the chip on the card with thumb and finger)
  5. Connect plug and switch on box
  6. Insert card with the golden chip facing UP and going in to the box 1st
  7. Switch your television on and turn to TELEDEPORTE and leave for 10-15 minutes.

  • NO SOUND (ENIGMA SMART decoder)
  1. Select channel that has no sound
  2. Press menu
  3. Press Installation
  4. Input Password 0000
  5. Press Manual TP search
  6. Press Ok
  7. Wait for YELLOW bars to appear on the strength and quality
  8. Press Ok
  9. When complete press EXIT 3 times...repeat on any other channel that is not assigned correctly.

  • NO SOUND (BIG SAT decoder)
  1. Press menu twice (x2)
  2. Highlight installation
  3. Press ok
  4. Press YELLOW button
  5. Press RED button
  6. Press Ok
  7. Please wait for GREEN and BLUE bars to appear
  8. Press Ok
  9. When complete press exit...repeat on any other channel that is not assigned correctly.

  • IF THE SCREEN IT'S TO BIG FOR THE TV YOU CAN CHANGE THE PICTURE SIZE (TECHNISAT BOX)
  1. Press menu
  2. Select Settings
  3. Press Ok
  4. Select change audio and video settings
  5. Press Ok
  6. Select screen format, with the right arrow (usually 16:9)
  7. GREEN button to accept
  8. Press exit x2

  • IF THE SCREEN IT'S TO BIG FOR THE TV YOU CAN CHANGE THE PICTURE SIZE (SMART/ENIGMA X BOX)
  1. Press menu
  2. Select STB setting
  3. Press Ok
  4. Select Output setting
  5. Press Ok
  6. TV screen mode (left arrow to select usually 16:9)
  7. Press exit x2

  • IF THE SCREEN IT'S TO BIG FOR THE TV YOU CAN CHANGE THE PICTURE SIZE (BIG SAT BOX)
  1. Press menu
  2. Select System setting
  3. Press Ok
  4. Select TV system
  5. Press Ok
  6. Change aspect mode (usually 16:9)
  7. Press Ok
  8. Press exit

  • NO PICTURE /SOUND/CHANGE OF COLOUR/BLUE SCREEN /SNOW ON SCREEN PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCIONS
  1. Check scart leads are all connected correctly
  2. Check mute is not on TV remote
  3. Snow on screen please check that your AV, EXT, SOURCE, INPUT on your remote control is correct your box is tuned into the television the same as you would connect a DVD/video player.

  • SEARCHING FOR SIGNAL / NO SIGNAL
